Program Features

Card Sizes

Any of the following card sizes may be selected:

  • Standard Bureau Size (3.5 by 5.5 inches, 89 by 140 mm)
  • 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 inches
  • 4 by 6 inches
  • 10 by 15 cm

Images

  • Background image which may cover all or only a portion of the card.
  • Unlimited number of other images may be added to the card.

Text

  • Callsign, name and QTH, and salutation text items by default.
  • Unlimited number of other text items may be added to the card.
  • Checkboxes may be added in front of and/or behind each text item.
  • Properties include:
    • Font face
    • Font weight
    • Font style (normal, italic)
    • Font size
    • Font colour
    • Single or multi-line text

Qsos Box

  • Control over the headings and other text within the QSOs Box (see User Preferences, below).
  • Printing of  selected QSOs on the card.
  • The size of the QSOs Box changes to match the number of QSOs being printed.
  • Properties include:
    • Print receiving station's QSL manager callsign or not
    • Print frequency or band column
    • Print QSL column or not
    • Number of QSOs per card selectable between one and five
    • Three date formats
    • YYYY-MM-DD (e.g.  2010-05-27)
    • DD-MMM-YY  (e.g.  27-May-10)
    • DD-MM-YY  (e.g. 27-05-10)
    • Line and text colour is selectable
    • Receiving station's callsign colour is selectable
    • Receiving station's manager callsign colour is selectable
    • Font face is selectable from all fonts that are installed on your computer
    • Background colour and opacity are selectable

Printing

  • Cards may be printed with or without QSO data.
  • Layout of cards on paper or cardstock is selectable.
  • Supports a number of micro-perforated cardstocks, including QSL cardstocks and Avery cardstocks.
  • Cards may be saved as images for printing by commercial photo printers.

Saving Cards

Once a card has been designed it may be saved for loading and use at a future time.

A card may be saved as an image for display on a website or for sending to a QSL printer for printing blank cards.

QSOs Loading and Selection

  • Import QSOs from ADIF 2 files. Almost all logging programs export QSOs in this format.
  • QSOs to be printed may be selected by:
    • Date and time range
    • Band
    • Mode
    • QSL Sent and Received Statuses
    • Individually
  • QSL manager field is editable

Card Ordering

  • QSOs may be sorted and printed by receiving station's callsign, or by bureau with non-bureau and direct cards sorted and printed last.

User Preferences

User may set:

  • Default text for callsign, name and QTH, and salutation text items.
  • Default font face for all text items (font face may still be changed for each text item).
  • Default font face for QSOs Box text
  • Text for confirming message, all coumn headings, and text in the QSL column of the QSOs box.
  • Default date format for the QSOs Box (date format may still be changed for each card).
  • Month abreviations for dates with the format DD-MMM-YY.
  • Frequency to display when Frequency column is selected, but QSO has a band field and no frequency field.
  • Whether program should check for new program version whenever the program starts.
  • Whether cards should default to bureau when the QSL Sent via field is not provided.
